Oaklands Park Stormwater Reuse Scheme


The vision for the Oaklands Park Stormwater Reuse Scheme is to harvest and store wetland treated stormwater and to distribute the recovered water, via an aquifer, for landscape irrigation at around 30 council reserves

Key features included:

Construction of a grated intake structure in the Sturt River concrete channel.
Installation of an 8m in-ground pump station.
Installation of a CDS Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT).
Construction of cement treated inlet pond and wetland basins.
Construction of 3 pedestrian foot bridges and 1 cascading weir structure
Installation of wetland drainage system to control water flow between ponds.
