McLaren Vale Overpass


Bardavcol recently received an Earth Award recognising excellence in construction, environmental performance and safety achievement for this project. 
This project involved the construction of a grade separated intersection on the important road link between Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. 90,000m³ earthworks including 30,000m³ of cut to fill, recycling of 32,000m³ of spoil sourced from another DPTI project and importation of 28,000m³ of additional material.

Key features included:
3 span bridge across Victor Harbor Road.
6 lane kilometres of a new road construction.
1.5 kilometres of pavement rehabilitation.
Relocation of 1km of the Coast to Vices shared us path.
Construction within an environmentally sensitive horticultural region.
