Bardavcol recently received an Earth Award recognising excellence in construction, environmental performance and safety achievement for this project.
This project involved the construction of a grade separated intersection on the important road link between Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. 90,000m3 earthworks including 30,000m3 of cut to fill, recycling of 32,000m3 of spoil sourced from another DPTI project and importation of 28,000m3 of additional material.
Key features included:
3 span bridge across Victor Harbor Road.
6 lane kilometres of a new road construction.
1.5 kilometres of pavement rehabilitation.
Relocation of 1km of the Coast to Vices shared us path.
Construction within an environmentally sensitive horticultural region.
