RAAF C-17 Facility

milang_to_clayton

Description:
The C-17 Heavy Air Lift Infrastructure project involved both building works and construction of airfield pavements and associated infrastructure. The building work comprises the construction of a new air movements facility and shelters for ground support equipment. The airfield pavement works include the widening and strengthening of existing aircraft taxiways and expansion of the concrete aircraft apron. Related work includes ground lighting, flood lighting and the in-ground aircraft hydrant refuelling system. Bardavcol worked closely with DoD and Aurecon to resolve a number of technical issues relating to concrete mix designs, pavement conditions and testing requirements.
